Jerry Springer was much more than the host of a crazy daytime talk show, he was a beloved adopted native son of Greater Cincinnati. He was a member of City Council before becoming mayor. He later went into broadcasting and politics. It was worth staying up for??on Action 5 News. Springer co-anchored with Norma Rashid, and it was here he came up with his famous sign-off “take care of yourself and each other.”
